HELLO!
Summerfield Farm is more than just a holiday venue – its owners Kara and Ben Noble aim to offer less able-bodied people, their carers and family, a little taste of paradise.
Set in idyllic farmland just outside the coastal jewel of the Yorkshire Coast, Whitby, and close to the North York Moors national park, it features three fully accessible holiday cottages, one of which has a flexible connecting door to an extra accessible bedroom and bathroom. There is also a superb private luxury static home with uninterrupted views of Whitby Abbey.
A cosy romantic stay for 2 or a full-on family reunion, we have the accommodation to suit.
Parking is very close to each cottage, making entry and unloading of equipment very convenient. All doors and hallways, as well as ground floor bathrooms and bedrooms, have been designed with accessibility in mind.
SCORESBY COTTAGE
A beautiful cottage with everything you need
At Scoresby Cottage you'll find a spacious living area with all the comforts of home.
You'll be ideally placed to enjoy Coast and Countryside alike. There are spectacular views with peace and quiet... you'll leave wanting more! Sleeps 6 in comfort.
For those who want to get out and about to enjoy the breath-taking scenery, Richard has a close relationship with local disabled action groups, including the Wet Wheels Yorkshire charity which offers adventure boat rides to people with disabilities, and the Whitby Disability Action Group that can provide beach-compatible wheelchairs for hire. Dalby Forest, near Pickering, has wheelchair-accessible tracks; local swimming pools offer disabled access, and Richard can help organise trips to venues such as Scarborough's Stephen Joseph Theatre and Spa. The farm sits only a five-minute drive from some superb local pubs, seafood restaurants and, of course, award-winning fish and chips. Further advice is provided in each cottage, and Richard is always on-hand to offer extra help and information.
